This is the time of year when families gather and celebrate, family. Mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins and distant relatives come together and share family stories, love and food. Often the question will be asked " Who's child are you?" You have Aunt so and so's eyes but you walk just like cousin so and so. Well let's take it to the spiritual realm. Who's child are you? We call God our Father, so that is who people should see in us. So who is God? 1 John 4:8 (New International Version) 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. So if God is love, then love is what we should look like. How does love look? 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (New International Version)
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
When people see you do they see your Father? Who's child are you?
